*** SSBA Rules & Usage Policy ***

General Forum Rules and Regulations

  • Attempts to bypass our “swear filters” by creating new, innovative ways to spell a “swear” word is not permitted. If you are going to use profanity, (this sounds weird) please use the correct spelling and formatting. This is out of respect for those who wish to read a clean board, and want profanity filtered out by our swear filters.
  • Do not repeatedly post the same information in multiple threads, or start multiple threads with the same information as others. This is considered SPAMMING.

Code of Conduct

  • Any form of slander or defamation with the intent to directly or indirectly attack the reputation or good name of a fellow Sask Sport Bike.com forum member will NOT be tolerated.
  • Listen to and respect SSBA forum Administrators, Moderators and Executive Members AT ALL TIMES. Do NOT disrespect, mock or threaten them in ANY way, shape, or form. Using SSBA property to do such is strictly prohibited. Using other mediums such as "MSN Messenger", “snail mail” or Electronic Mail (e-mail) is not permitted, and may result in disciplinary action taken on SSBA property as well. There are NO exceptions to this rule.
  • Respect your fellow Sask Sport Bike.com members.
  • No racist, sexist, hateful, threatening or obscene remarks in any way, shape or form via any medium on the property of the SSBA.

Forum Usage

Upon usage of the SSBA forum, you have agreed to the terms and conditions laid out in the SSBA Forum Registration Agreement. The Registration Agreement has been posted in the “SSBA Information – FAQ” section for your viewing pleasure.

Saskatchewan Sport Bike Association (SSBA) Members, registered Sask Sport Bike.com forum users, and site visitors, agree to use this forum with the knowledge that any advice, technical solutions or suggestions from any user will be undertaken at their own risk and that the Executive, Administration and all involved in the running and upkeep of Sask Sport Bike.com are not responsible for these solutions.  The Saskatchewan Sport Bike Association will not be held liable for any form of damages occurred as a result of following these solutions.
Sask Sport Bike.com is the property of the Saskatchewan Sport Bike Association.

Browsing this forum is taken as consent to these terms and conditions.

Avatars

  • The use of an avatar is an added privilege and is not required.
  • Height and Width are restricted to a max of 100 x 100 pixels.
  • ”Not Work Safe” avatars containing nudity, sexuality, racial, hateful, or content that may be considered offensive to some viewers, are not permitted and will be removed from your profile on first contact. Please use your judgement. The SSBA Administration team will have final say on the matter. If you are asked to change your avatar, please do so promptly.

Signatures

  • Using an image as a signature is acceptable, providing the following conditions are met:
    - The image does
NOT contain any “NWS” material.
- The image does
NOT exceed 100 pixels in height, and/or 500 pixels in width.
• Text signatures are acceptable.
  • Using text or images to promote 3rd party companies and/or non-profit organizations is strictly prohibited. To advertise on the SSBA forum, please refer to the “Advertising” section of this document, or the “Discount Sponsors & Advertising Guidelines” post in the “SSBA News & Updates” forum. The purpose of this is to respect the official SSBA Advertisers that we have accumulated.
  • The exception to the above rule is providing a simple text URL link to the 3rd party company or non-profit organization. This will be permitted.

Posting

  • Posting is a privilege, not a right.
  • Please ensure that you post to the correct board/section in the forum. If you unintentionally make a post in the wrong board, an Administrator or Moderator will politely move it to the appropriate board for you. Upon 2nd or 3rd occurrence, you may receive a PM from an Administrator or Moderator politely asking you to expend extra thought as to which board your post belongs in. If ignorance ensues after such warning, your account may be removed from the forum.
  • Use descriptive subjects and content. Especially in the “Pics & Vids” section, use descriptive subjects, and ensure to provide adequate information regarding the link or picture that you have posted. This will allow for easier content searches in the future, and will provide better search results. Failure to adequately describe your post, may result in your post being altered, or simply deleted without warning. SSBA forum Administrators and Moderators retain the right to exercise a ZERO TOLERANCE policy on this subject. Remember – posting is a privilege, not a right. Upon 2nd or 3rd occurrence, you may receive a PM from an Administrator or Moderator politely asking you to better describe your post. If ignorance ensues after such warning, your account may be removed from the forum.
  • Topics (threads) made with the intent to exclude fellow Sask Sport Bike.com members, or topics (threads) that, by their nature, discourage participation by ANY Sask Sport Bike.com member, will not be allowed. Threads of this nature will be deleted.

Private Messages (PM’s)

  • Non-$ite $upporters are limited to 15 Private Messages in their inbox. Sask Sport Bike.com $ite $upporters have an unlimited inbox size.
  • The use of Private Messages is a privilege, not a right.
  • Mass PM’s are discouraged.
  • Mass PM’s with “For Sale” type content is strictly prohibited, and is considered “spamming”. Do not solicit unwanted PM’s to Sask Sport Bike.com members.

Classifieds

  • The selling of any sort of product or service on SSBA Property is permitted exclusively to Sask Sport Bike.com $ite $upporters only.
  • Attempts by NON-$ite $upporters to sell products or services are strictly prohibited.
  • DO NOT post “For Sale” advertisements in the “Wanted” section in an attempt to by-pass our rules.
  • The exception to the above rules is if you are replying to a “Wanted” ad with an item that specifically fits the description in the original post. This is open to all Sask Sport Bike.com members. If your item does not fit the original description of the “wanted” item, your post will be removed.
  • The inclusion of “For Sale” information in ones profile or signature is permitted exclusively to Sask Sport Bike.com $ite $upporters.
  • Companies and/or businesses are not permitted to advertise company owned products IN ANY FORM unless they are an official sponsor of the SSBA. Please use the “Sponsor Specials” board for such posts.
  • Classifieds will remain on the board as long as they are active. After 90 days of inactivity (no posts), they will be removed.

Advertising

The SSBA offers advertising solutions for businesses and non-profit organizations that wish to promote their club or business via our web site. In order to maintain good relations with our advertisers, the following rules have been set in place:

  • Unauthorized advertising of personal businesses, 3rd party businesses, “profit” organizations and “non-profit” organizations, with the exception of endeavors sanctioned by divisions of the Government of Saskatchewan and the Federal Government of Canada, is strictly prohibited. Posts of such nature will be removed from the board.
  • All advertising of discounts/product specials must be approved by Josh or Danilo prior to posting said information on the site, unless the sponsor has been preapproved as an official site sponsor.

Merchandise

  • Wear/use your SSBA merchandise proudly!
  • The use of "www.sasksportbike.com", "Saskatchewan Sport Bike Association", "SSBA" (or any derivation/abbreviation/form of these registered names) on merchandise or any other type of promotional material with the intent to represent the SSBA as an organization is permitted exclusively to the organization as a whole. Usage of the above names or the official SSBA logo to be associated with personal gain IS NOT PERMITTED in any way.

3 Strikes – You’re Out.

Offence to ANY of the above rules, will result in the following disciplinary action:

  • First offence/warning - Upon first offence, you will be contacted by an Administrator or Moderator, asking you to correct the offending action that you have taken. Failure to immediately correct the action will result in a second warning.
  • Second Offence/warning – Same as first offence, but you will be informed that upon 3rd offence, your SSBA Membership (if applicable & non-refundable) will be revoked and your account will be removed from Sask Sport Bike.com.
  • Third (Final) Offence – You will be informed by an Administrator or Moderator via e-mail that your SSBA Membership (if applicable) and Sask Sport Bike.com forum account has been removed, and that you have been banned from using the SSBA forum indefinitely. We will record your IP address, and any future attempts to register on the SSBA forum will be stopped. You may appeal your banning by sending an email to an SSBA Administrator, outlining your case, and specify reasoning for wanting to come back to Sask Sport Bike.com. Your case will be reviewed by the Executive & Advisory Committees, and you will be informed via email as to the result of the review.
