Also get a PCIII and a tune if you are going to swap out exhausts for sure just on the reliability factor of your motor, let alone the power jump.

good point

how do you know when you need a repack?

If the CF gets HOT, then you need a repack. If the exhaust is getting louder, you need a repack. I've never seen heat destroy a CF sleeve. My old 750 had an Arrow carbon system and it had nearly 70K (40K on the exhaust), so I wouldn't worry about it...

1 Pound? Titanium race exhaust systems are generally only 1 mm thick because its stronger and cuts down the weight alot more than 1 pound over a full system.. But slip on it would be minimal not worth it in my eyes. I would say that a full titanium system would weigh about as much as the factory headers. Maybe a bit more but there is more than 1 pound in weight savings..

Yes, I was looking at the difference in the mufflers, not the complete system. In S.S., it looks like a 12 lb saving for the whole system, in titanium I'm not sure. So as far as price vs performance, a slip on makes more sense in my eyes.
A S.S. slip on = $400
A full Titanium system = $1700
A S.S. full system isnt too bad but still $900.

Not worth it but then again, we're not doing these things to our bikes just to make inner peace with ourselves. Tongue

how was dealing with bayside?  they carry a Zard exhaust for my Guzzi I might look at getting maybe next year.  Theyre like one of two places in canada I can find online that carries Guzzi exhaust and cheaper by like $100.
Bayside is great. Quick shipping and easy site to navigate and order from.

My CF hindle is doing great still. Except for the part where it's scratched from when the bike was dropped.
