Thunder City has jumped into mini roadracing with both feet. They are on the lookout for two competitive riders, one male and one female, to race in the Thunder Class program for the 2010 Mini Roadracing Season. This fantastic opportunity is open to any already experienced, or novice rider that wants to take their riding skills and competative edge to a new level and experience the thrill of mini roadracing. The two lucky riders will share a Kawasaki KLX 140 race bike tuned and prepped in accordance to class requirements of the Thunder Class. Thunder City will pay entry fees for the National Mini Road Racing Championship Series events. They will also provide maintenance and service for the team race bike. Sponsored riders also get discounts on "in store" purchases related to the race team.

The successful sponsored riders will attend PSRA and Thunder City events to promote Thunder City and the race program, race in the National Mini Roadracing Series, and prepare a race report/press release for each event. This is a great opportunity. When We have seen a cut in all the sponsored programs for riders, Thunder City steps forward to help out our local race community.

Interested riders should submit a resume to Thunder City that includes: Riding experience, approach to the race season, preparation for race season, planned race schedule, and perceived benefits for Thunder City and PSRA. All resumes must be submitted to Thunder City by May 1, 2010. If you have questions about the application process, please contact Kevin Ham at prairiesportriders@gmail.com or Al Elmer at aelmer@thundercity.ca.

A recruitment committee will review applications and identify suitable candidates for follow-up interviews. After completion of the interview process, they will be requested to participate in a “Hot Lap” competition at 3 flags motorsports. Based on all criteria, the review panel will make the final selection of candidates.

Deadline for applications is May 1 2010 at 3 Flags Motorpark.

Well all the things that you learn on a small bike makes you that much Better on the bigger bikes. We have women in the club that have more skills the.most of the men, me included  a free bike to throw around the track, . What part of free and skill building don't ya get. 8-)

There are a lot of street riders who think that they are "ALL THAT" when it comes to riding.  Their fragile egos can't handle the possibility of the truth getting handed to them by a 10 year old, so they choose to simply not do it.

Hey, that wasn't aimed at anyone in particular.  It's just a general fact that I have observed over the last few years.
