Motorcycle Tag FAQ

1) OK so how do I reply to the original Tag??

Quote the new Tag
Enter your google maps link in the reply. 100% necessary, if you don't include it someone can steal your tag!
Include your photo of the tag. Use the feature on Photobucket
There should be only two photos in your message. The original Tag and your tag
Now you need to start a new tag in a NEW message within 30 minutes

2) How do I post a google link with the tag I just took a picture of ??

Note the address where you found the old tag while you take the picture
Go to google maps (www.googlemaps.com)
Input the address into the search bar, which will place a red marker on the map
Go to the blue "link" button in far right and click on it
You will see the "Paste link in email or IM" address will be highlighted
Right click in highlighted field and click "copy"

3) How do I host my images somewhere?
We suggest photobucket to host your images. It is FREE and allows you to resize your images right on their website. It also provides you with the [IMG] tags needed to post in the game.

4) My images are HUGE, what is the maximum size of an image for the forum?
We recommend keeping your images to a maximum of 800px on the largest side. Use your discretion of course. Photo bucket's photo size of MEDIUM would be perfect.

5) Will there be prizes at the end of this??
Not at this time

6) There is no Motorcycle Tag game for my area. How do I play?
You are free to play in any or all of the Motorcycle Tag games located in other areas. If you want a tag game for your area, PM one of the Mods to request a game be created. Your request may not be granted due to size limitations and member base numbers.

7) Why are we having to number new tags and quote the old tags??
This helps the mods, when the tags are going quickly and people are talking on the board, it makes mapping the who and what on the Google Map easier to verify...without having to go back 3 pages to find who posted the original.

8 ) Why can't I use my cell phone and just upload a tag??
This makes the game unfair and doesn't create a level playing field for everyone getting the tags. The quality of cell phone pictures isn't good, people want to see nice photos! A warning will be issued, then, if there is a reoccurance you will lose all of your points.

9) If I have a picture of the tag, that I took in a previous year, do I have to go get a new picture ??
You may stockpile new tags as long as the images are from the current riding season. If you took the photo last year, go take a new one.

10) OK I put up a new tag and it was shut down by the mods, why??
A Tag should be easily known and found by the masses. Should not put you or potential taggers, or the general public at risk. If it doesn't meet these criteria in the moderators mind. it may be removed at their discretion.
