2009 Motorcycle Photo Tag - Regina - Round One

Game starts MAY 1st

The Game:

  • Someone takes a picture of their bike in front of a landmark located in the Map boundaries and posts it in this thread
  • Someone else recognizes the landmark, rides to the same place, and gets a photo with their bike at the same spot.  Take note of the address!
  • That person then rushes to a computer and replies to the original Photo (see FAQ #2), uploads the photo with a Google
    map co-ordinate
(see FAQ #1), and then uploads a new picture (their tag) within 30 minutes of the reply time(Or you lose a point).
  • The person who correctly tags the photo will then receive a point and your name entered on the score board
  • The season will be divided into 2 month long games, whoever has the most points at the end of each 2 month game wins!

Round 1 - starts May 1st midnight – July 1st midnight
Round 2 - starts July 1st 00:01 – September 1st midnight

The Rules:

1) Only the original poster can provide clues to the tag, the scavenger hunt is part of the fun.

2) No more than one tag running at once.

3) Keep the tag identifiable and easy to access. Don't take a picture of a tree, mailbox, house unless there is a significant landmark on it.
Making it easier to find keeps the pace of the game fast!

3a)
Stagnant tags
  • There will be a 24 hour max per tag posted up, server time.
  • It will be under the Moderators discretion to deem a tag, null and void, before this time is up.
  • There shouldn't be any stagnant tags in this game, for any reason!!
  • The next person, other than original poster, to post a NEW tag after a tag has been deemed null and void, will get a (1/2) point

4) No illegal tags or high risk tags, determined by the moderators
  • The tag will be disqualified, determined by the mods, and one point lost by the person who posted the high risk tag.  The next tagger
to post the old tag and a new tag will be awarded one point.
  • If you feel you might get in trouble, **** someone off, or a security guard might call 911...it is a high risk tag.  In other words anytime
you have to take your bike off a marked roadway IE sidewalk or dirt path its probably unacceptable.  Keep in mind most of us are on expensive
high end street bikes not dual purpose motorcycles.

5) HINT: The new Tag doesn't have to be taken after your tagged picture; banked pictures are encouraged to keep the game flowing rapidly and to create better
quality tag pictures. You only have 30 minutes to post a new tag, by itself with the number of the Tag, in a new message in this thread.
  • If you do not post a new tag within 30 minutes of you tagging a picture you will lose 1/2 point and the next person to start a new tag receives a 1/2 point.

6) Digital cameras are mandatory, cell phone or wireless uploads are not allowed to keep it fair for everyone. If discovered by mods the point will be taken away.
  • A warning will be issued, on first occurrence....second offense, all your points will be lost

7) You must quote the original posting of tag and provide a google link to the tag (see FAQ)
  • If a Google link isn’t provided, or the the old tag isn't replied to and 15 minutes elapses after tag is posted, another person
may post the old and a new tag, with google link, and that tagger will be awarded the point
  • The google link is used to track the tag on your city map.  Thats why we need it.

8 ) Please use a response picture from the current riding season.

9) Please use Photobucket or another image hosting service to host your images.  It makes the quotes of the original tag flow nicer.  This helps the mods to go through the thread and award points more easily.

TAG #1

Game on!

Ok fellow SSBA friends, this tag is technically dead BUT since this is only the first round, some of you may not know exactly how the game works. So I've gone out and found Paul's tag.
